Meet Botistuta, AS Roma’s AI Assistant!

Italian giants and 3 times Serie A winners, AS Roma exemplify how smart technology investments can lead to improved fan satisfaction and operational efficiency.

AS Roma's AI chatbot, Botistuta, showcased the tangible benefits of digital fan engagement, handling thousands of daily interactions at it’s pre Covid peak.

Roma saw tangible uplifts ticket and merchandise sales, whilst decreasing routine telephone and email based customer service traffic (deflected into automated channels).

AS Roma is delighted to announce the launch today of Botistuta, the club’s new AI chatbot.

The chatbot, named by fans in a recent poll on Twitter in homage to the club’s Scudetto-winning striker Gabriel Batistuta, will operate on the Facebook Messenger platform.

The club worked with Loogicdialog to create Botistuta with the goal of improving customer service in a fun way for Roma fans looking for information online.

Designed to answer simple fan queries, with the help of Artificial Intelligence, Botistuta will become more sophisticated the more it interacts with fans.

“We’re excited about the launch of the new chatbot,” claimed Paul Rogers, head of digital media at AS Roma. “We’ve been working with Logicdialog, who are experts in this space, for a number of months on the project and we think it will help speed up the response time for many fans who are trying to find out particular information about the club.”
